I hate it when manufacturers give false info

If you go to the Taylor web site they have this cool feature where you can get a listing which clubs their players are using this week.

Checked out Sergio and they have him using (irons) Taylor T.P.s. NOT!!!!

I Looked into his bag on the 9th tee on Thurs and he has an old beat up set of Taylor Muscle Backs.

WHY DO THEY DO THIS????

No. They were an old beat up set of M.B.s. (Great clubs btw.). Why lie in print like this?

At the 2001 Masters I was set up on the 4th tee. Had my chair front row. Along comes "Mr. Srixon". Srixon bag, Srixon all over his shirt.

Sticks his tee in the ground and places a nice Red Callaway on it.

It really bugs me when players do this.

Those would be KZG my friend. KZG makes the heads for Titleist and Mizuno, from which point Titleist and Mizuno stamp their name on them and charge twice as much for them.

I don't know, I was just at a golf shop here in Lubbock and the guy didn't sell any of the big names, but he told us that KZG is his best club and that they make the heads for such major brands as Titleist and Mizuno. He had some blades there and they looked eerily similar to the recent Titleist and Mizuno blades that I've seen. I think they even make driver heads for Titleist too (go to KZG's website and you'll see what I mean), but Mizuno's are a bit different.

I was surprised when he told us that, but he showed us the clubs and I could easily see Titleist or Mizuno stamping their names on the clubs. I bet a majority of KZG's business is done behind the scenes like that when they sell their heads to other companies.

From what I have heard from the manufacturers, there are only a few companies making clubheads. Both Woods and irons.

Ping is the exception. Their irons are made at their factory in Phoenix and Titanium Woods are made in Austrailia.

I can almost guarantee you that KZG is not making heads for Titleist or Mizuno. Now.... what might be happening is that the foundry that is making the heads for Titleist and Mizuno might also be making the heads for KZG, which is quite common. I think that is probably what the guy was referring to, but that's just my opinion. I have been wrong before, and will certainly be wrong again in the future. But I don't think I'm wrong this time.

Yep......Titleist gets there heads from a few different foundry's...most in China. Mizuno foundry's is in Japan.....but when they get in a bind they go to China too. You have to be a heck of a golfer to notice the difference in foundry's by the feel of the club. The only differnece I have ever notice was in a Miura club. The the only thing was it was just a tad softer.
