Hartford Open Back; 84 Lumber event out of Fed Ex Series
Greetings ...
The Hartford Open will return to the PGA Tour in 2007, under the sponsorship of St Paul Travelers, and it will be part of the Fed Ex Cup schedule. This became possible when 84 Lumber company opted not to continue sponsorship of its event in Western Pennsylvania. Where the Penn event goes after 2006 is still to be worked out. I have to admit to being pretty disappointed with the turn of events. I'm sure Joe Hardy is heart broken to see his event that he worked very hard to move from low to middle-class status on the PGA Tour now being taken right off the schedule.

Man, I'd love to be TOUR commisioner for one day. Whatever I say, goes. The very first thing I'd do is ban corporate names from any tournament title.
