Interesting idea...what it would create, and I like it, is that each team would have to play more players early on, effectively meaning that no "weakness" could be hidden til the singles. It would also mean more guys will be prepped to play come singles Sunday, which seems to hamper some guys in those matches, i.e. the European newbies on Sunday at Brookline.
Yes & no. As the Ero teams seem to be able to put together pairings for foursomes & even in Fourball which work together better. Its ironic that its the singles that over the last couple of occasions have actually provided the desisive win of the event itself, well before the final pairing has come anywhere near finishing.
Not sure if this will continue in future years though. As Tiger may discover how to work with other players of similar ability by the next one. & this would be dangerous...lol
But He does seem to be jinxed at Ryder cup events, his putting not to mention the rest of his game over the ones he's done seem to have been lackluster compared to what we all know he's capable of.
Its interesting to note how good some of the other US players have gotten & how competitive they will be in Rydercup event in future.
I'm really lookiing forward to the next couple of Rydercup events, no matter what the result or balance.
