How about Annika's performance at the Colonial.
There she played very well. But she just had too long a distance left on her approach shots. That meant she couldn't stop the ball when it landed on the green and it just kept running off on her.
This was one of the shorter courses. Annika played a great game on it, for her, but she just didn't have the length on her tee shots, or enough strength ouf of the rough.
I think that is a pretty good reason to believe that Annika wouldn't do as well as Michelle on the pga tour.
Annika is the superior lpga player, Michelle is superior to Annika on a pga style course. That is the very reason why Annika won't go up against the men again.
At the SK Telecom, the course was over 7,100 yards. Several reports suggested that many lpga players could have made the cut there, because Wie did.
What those journalists don't recognise is just because an lpga player can do as well on a 6,300 yard course as Wie does, that doesn't mean they would be as good on a 7,000+ yard course.
