Commiserations to Tiger and the rest of the family. Hope he had got back from NZ and was able to say his goodbyes.

Very sad news - may Earl rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with Tiger and his family. My father passed away 17 years ago and a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him and miss him. He was truly a great man.

Our prayers, and hearts go out to the Woods family. Im sure this will only drive Tiger to do his best in every tournament he plays. Earl probably told him to live his legacy , and if so that would be to continue his journey in breaking records.

I just read about this while looking online for a different article. This is very terrible news. My deepest condolences go out to the Woods family right now.

He lived a very full life, between serving his country in Vietnam and displaying such integrity in raising one of the greatest golfers of all-time - as well as a great humanitarian - it's sad to see him go.

Great sentiment, Muffin. I can say the same about my pops, who died nine years ago.

Most of us can relate to what Tiger is going through right now. His father was so important to him. I wish Tiger the best.

I just read about some of Earl Woods' accomplishments. He lived a fantastic life. Truly a great man. Tiger is a fitting tribute to this great man.
