Is she a sideshow when she is competing for lpga majors,
or how about when she is attempting to qualify for the US Open like everyone else,
or how about when she qualified for the Mens publinx amateur?

The only possible place you can be talking about her as a sideshow is in pga events, and given that she has done better in pga events than Tiger did at that stage in his career, I think she deserves at least the same amount of time, that was given to him, before people start making accusations. That means 7 events, before people should even begin to question it. She has had only 4 so far.

I have just heard some strange information on the Golf channel.

It said that Michelle Wie is targeting the PGA Tour and doesn't think winning LPGA Events is in her agenda.

Funny, I avoid Nike products because of Tiger. Nothing wrong with Tiger obviously, but I don't like the constant coverage of Tiger and the commentators constant use of the term "only Tiger could", etc. So, I can in some ways understand what people are saying, but the fact is that the PGA stuff and even the other Korean and Japan tournaments are but five incidents over the course of a year so why does it bother folks so darn much. She plays the maximum LPGA tournaments and has been doing pretty darn good, so where's the problem with that?

I switched on to the very end of Golf Central Daily. Dottie Pepper was standing there, and their was a picture of Wie in the background. The guy said "and for more about Michelle's attempt to qualify for the US Open join us later".

I was so annoyed that I missed this, because Dottie alledgedly critisises Michelle constantly.
Maybe it was Dottie who was peddling this nonsense about Michelle targetting the pga tour.

Michelle has and is playing all the lpga golf she can.

That's exactly what what Nancy Lopez has said.

At least we're keeping it civil here. It's out of control over on TheGolfChannel discussion board. She's a great young talent and she;ll find her niche'. My guess is that niche' will be considerably above some expectations and considerably below some others. We're just along for the ride!
All kidding aside… I love to watch Michele play. It doesn’t mater if it is with Men or Women. Could really care less if she plays in Men’s events. My thread was simply a question to get all the Michele fans and foes thinking. It worked!!!

Nancy Lopez will learn that success can have many different routes.

Money List - LPGA

Michelle is not LPGA member so she's not on the Money List. Does someone have the figure where whould she belong if he was an LPGA memeber? We don't need to count the small changes she made in KPGA by making a cut and finishing 35th.. Thanks.

With 181,000 or so, Wie would be at 16th on the current money list.

It's the Asian Tour - let's not be so dramatic.

There are a lot of "only Tiger could"'s which are rooted in fact.

Dude I think your intrest in her is almost unhealthy and bordering on scary. Yeah, she is a great player but my gosh enough is enough. She is a 16 year old girl. Who cares what she is doing much less know her every move every week. Get a life.

It's still the hasn't been done before.
By the way, if she were to make the Euro Tour cut, how would you rate that personally?

Having a heavy connection to the european tour, this is huge news for me and everyone associated with it.

I found out about her entry from a euro tour player, who himself was very excited about the prospect, because he is playing in the event.
If you don't think there is plenty of excitement about Wie, you need to take your head out of the sand and go to mylpga.com
By the way, I'm not a member there, because there is about 10 pages of Wie posts every minute, so it's too hard to follow.

Or perhaps you could try out the golf channel board that leaguegolf suggested a few days ago. Now that's one confusing board. It's supposed to be a golf board, but it is just a Wie board.
It's also the worst designed forum anywhere.

You ignored the Euro Tour question.
