Well, I perused Sergio's latest archived scorecards, which are available at pgatour.com, and he has in fact been struggling with his accuracy, both off the tee and on his approaches.

Sergio's ball-striking stats for this year are nowhere close to what they usually are and should be, and he still continues to have his problems on the greens. However, london_geeza's observation was correct. Sergio putted better at both Quail Hollow and Las Colinas. He may very well be focusing more on his flat-stick problems...at the detriment of his ball-striking.

Sergio's third and fourth-round scoring averages also attest to some mental problems. I'm sure his confidence is kind of low right now. It would be interesting to see an interview with Sergio. I'd love to know just how committed he thinks he is to becoming one of the world's elite golfers.
