A wet and bedraggled European Tour leaves Ireland and comes to Wentworth ,where the weather forecast is wet,wet and wetter.
With Ernie,Retief,Luke and Adam Scott in the field and only Sergio missing ,this event should be offering more WR points than the Fedex St Jude whatever.
Best field of the yearso far, so it shoudl be interesting

Ah yes, I remember hearing something about Ernie having Wentworth as his home course.
Will be interesting to watch. Of course muggins here will be working through this one entirely. So will have to make sure I've enough videotape at home to catch what I'm going to miss.
Really does look like its going to be a great field

The BMW Championship is also the European Tour equivalent of the Players Championship - it gets allocated extra OWGR points anyway.
This is one of those weeks when the Euro tourney gets more press than the PGA tourney, or so it should. St. Jude really never has produced a good field...and BMW is one of the top events in Europe. A lot of those guys playing in Europe will be making the long distance flight back to the mainland on Monday for the Memorial.
I'm going on Friday, just hope I don't come back as a drowned rat!!! I will be trying to watch a bit of Goosen and Donald, and if possible Els but depends on the crowds.
who's your picks for the BMW.
ill go with olazabal, jimenez, michael campbell and castano.
The way Retief's been playing the last few months, I can't pick against him, especially in Europe where's he been so tough since 2001 the few events he plays. He is the most overdue for a win than any golfer in the world right now. I look for Campbell, Els and Bjorn to have good weeks, too.

he had a great chance in america the other week, and ended up taking silly bogies and took a 5 over par? on the 72nd hole.
dont get me wrong i love to see goosen play well and win, i will be hoping for a good tournament from him, but i cant see him winning this one.
