Arrow 06 U.S. Open

Most people want Tiger to win the open this year even i do since his dad died and we all know Tiger wants to dedicate the win to his dad. But lets say Tigers dad didnt die or if you hate Tiger... who would you want to win?

I am rooting for Tiger because he wants it really bad... but if his dad had not passed on yet then I would say John Daly because he needs another win to get things going for him again. Other than him probably camillo villegas to jumpstart his rookie year.

Well, since I am an ardent Mickelson fan I am naturally pulling for Phil. I truly believe that Phil has to be the favorite at Winged Foot. He has some incredible New York-area mojo going for him.

Not only has Phil won the last two majors, he is currently the PGA TOUR leader in earnings and Greens In Regulation, while placing second in Putting and Scoring Average. I just can not see any sensible prognosticator placing anyone, including Tiger, ahead of Phil as the pre-tournament favorite.

Tiger's my favorite so obviously I'd be pulling for him, but if not Tiger, then probably Ernie Els. It's been a while since he took one.

im hoping sergio garcia can pick up a win, but thats not likely.
jose maria olazabal has hit some top form so he should be there or abouts.
miguel angel jimenez, might put up a challenge too.
camilo villegas, cant see him putting on a strong challenge but i hope he does.
fred funk, can see him playing well, but dont think he's gonna win.
j.b. holmes, maybe? but not likely.

there the few ill be cheering for, but dont know the exact field yet. i cant see mickleson getting beat if he plays even 90% of his full potential that week.

I'm pulling for Phil to make it 3 majors in a row. I like Furyk in this one, too. I'd like to see a strong showing from Villegas, but he was all over the place last week.... not a recipe for success under US Open conditions.

So no one here has voted for M******* W**? Well then, neither will I. Ha!

I'd like to see Tiger rip a new one at Winged Foot. If I had to put money (or if I had money to put and then had to put it), I'd go with Phil. I strongly doubt any rookies will win, but one might the following week.

I wanna see Tiger win. If not Tiger, maybe Retief, after what happened last year. Would like to see him bounce back. But I have a feeling it's going to be a new name to win this year. The big names, outside of Mickelson, are not playing well at all. This has the makings of a Trevor Immelman, Zach Johnson or Vaughn Taylor type of winner at the U.S. Open

Watch out for Love3 though. Very good mojo for him there.

I'd like to see Tiger win naturally because he is my favorite player, but if not Tiger, then I would like to see Ernie Els win it.

I also agree that Phil has to be the pre tournament favorite in this case.

1. tiger
2. herron
3. lefty

Though if lefty wins I'll get annoyed only because then all the analysts will start in with the Tiger vs Phil **** again and "whos the best" questions
