Kenneth started to do quite well in the last few seasons on the European Tour, and has been doing well again this year.
Nothing suoer spectacular, but hood play.
Well done Kenneth
He's playing the "I haven't had to talk to the media yet" type of round. He's playing great and I'm certainly rooting for him to keep up his great play, but reality will set in this evening when he has to answer a million questions, and then has to sleep knowing that he's in contention at the U.S. Open starting Saturday. Like I said though, hopefully he can keep playing really well!
I doubt it too, but stranger things have happened Rod
I don't think we've had a non-American journeyman win our Open, not in my memory anyway. We've had a few Americans win it who fit that description, though.
One more birdie today and even par through the weekend would probably win it. It would kind of like when Ben Curtis won the Open Championship - improbable but not so far-fetched, just hold steady for a while.
Yesterday in the "leader" interview Bob Costas gave Colin Montgomerie a hard time by running through a list all of the major tournaments that he ALMOST won. Actually Monty handled it very well and seemed to be genuinely smiling. But that thought still has to be somewhere in the back of his mind, also Kenneth Ferrie has never faced the same situation.
Ferrie comes from the Tim Herron fitness club, and has enjoyed himself. He looks as if he may feature tomorrow and will benefit from the experience.
After his first two and a half rounds he is on the verge of moving up a level. Asa apromising journeyman , he now is showing whether he can sart to compete for a top 20 in WR
