THOUGHT: NBC's Weekend US Open Coverage
Greetings ....
Do you feel as I do that NBC's Saturday and Sunday US Open coverage at 6-and-a-half hours is a bit longish? What I'd rather see is this -- Let ESPN start each day from 11:00 am to 1:55 pm, then have NBC take over from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This would give NBC just ONE hour, rather than 2-and-a-half, to run some features, then concentrate on live golf action from 3:00 pm onwards. Here's another suggestion that would definitely help ESPN -- Roger Twibell, who has been anchoring the USOPEN.COM Internet Coverage, is much more acceptable to golf fans than Chris Berman.
