if you mention victories, majors should be mentioned also. in the end, a players rank in greatness usually comes down to majors won, along with victories. colin's 30 victories is a great accomplishment and should be reconized as a great player but a major win would assure him of the respect that he deserves. i would love to see him get it in the open coming up, surrounded by all his fans. by the way, phil = 29 victories, 3 of them majors.
Thank you for your wisdom.
Perhaps you should send the European Tour an email telling them that they should disband the tour, because it doesn't count anyway.
PS: Monty has had the opportunity to join the uspga many times, but hasn't bothered to do so. Perhaps his view of the importance of the uspga tour is a little different.
Gotta give the props to both Padraig Harrington and Colin Montgomerie for the way they have bounced back from last weekend's grueling experience. Both are playing well this week.
I never stated this, in all my exasperation from last weekend, but Padraig Harrington impressed me more than he ever has. Until last week I never really regarded Padraig as a serious major championship contender. I now do.
Thank you for your wisdom.

come on you can do better then that... winner - absolut
Last time I looked the rest of the world counted for something.
Some players like living and playing in USA ,others do not. Monty ,along with David Howell, do not enjoy spending long periods in USA.Luke Donald does.Does not make anyone right or wrong.
Every time Americans sneer at the European Tour and its players, the Ryder Cup becomes more enjoyable.
Personalities vary on the Tour, for sure... I appreciate Phils' attitude toward the profesion he's in...I enjoy the Professionalism of Monte..and he has a ton of it. Padraig is where the other two WERE, years ago, trying to reach that pinnacle that accopanies successes. 30 wins for Phil...30 about for Monte... PH will reach the plateau, if he stays intense and focused. His attitude towards others in the sport is Highly Commendable.
I,also, am not talented enough @ the game to carry eithers' bag! much less state an opinion of their talents.....
Phil Mickelson was alledgedly going to go to bed for a few days after his disappointment.
Monty instead went on to his next tournament and after 2 rounds:
1 MONTGOMERIE, Colin * SCO -10 68 68 136
2 CASEY, Paul ENG -8 67 71 138
T3 FRASER, Marcus AUS -7 71 68 139
T3 HANSEN, Søren * DEN -7 69 70 139
T3 KARLSSON, Robert * SWE -7 71 68 139
T3 MARSHALL, Andrew * ENG -7 72 67 139
Phil isn't home in bed...He's home looking for his Three wood...and looking in the mirror saying: "Narrow fairway...Three Wood...Narrow fairway...Three Wood" I am not the biggest Phil fan but I am sorry for his bad showing at the end of the tourney...Hope he recovers and REMEMBERS HIS THREE WOOD NEXT TIME...
^^^ haha yes but he said that if he missed the fairway he had no chance of getting it there with his 4 wood.. the rough was terrible so even it got the best of phil
