Who will win the US Womens Open?

I'm backing Wie. Maybe people would have guessed that anyway.

I'd like the Wie-detractors to pick someone as opposed to just backing the field as usual.

You listed Pressel and Creamer, but have they really done much this year? I'll back Mi Hyun Kim, currently #3 on the money list. Plus, if she wins a major she can have a boyfriend, and she's too cute to be lonely!

Rodney, do we seriously have to go through this nonsense again?

No, because you've backed someone. Annika being the player.

I knew no matter who I put in, someone would be left out.

It is a testiment to the strenth of the lpga, that I could have easily put in another 4 or 5 realistic contenders, but polls are limited to 10 choices.

For the 8,573,518,964,157,432,624,258,147,369,489,156,324, 657,984,651st time, saying you don't think Michelle will win is not "backing the field." It's saying she's not going to win.

And yes, I did pick Annika. We shall see...

Have a nice day.

I normally don't jump into the us vs Wie brew-ha-ha but I'm going to have to pick Wie on this one. She has came close so many times that I believe she is due. Now if you want to guarantee your bets in Vegas I did come in dead last place in the US Open pick-em.

Leaguegolf,
Your backing of Wie to win has been considered an act of treason. If you wisit wiebashers.com you will note that you have been expelled from their organisation.
You are hereby welcomed into the Wiemaniacs club.

Someone named Lee or Kim will win. There have been seven Korean winners this year. Yes seven different winners.

Actually I meant it tongue in cheek style.
Then you had to go on with:

By the way, maybe you haven't heard, but BJ said she won't be trying for a pga tour card until she is good enough. Sometime in her 20's BJ said. I'm sure we can get plenty of debate out of her sponsors exemptions in the meantime and what they prove about her standard.

That's a whole lot of ifs. Actually only 2 I suppose.

Oops. I'll cancel your membership, but your complimentary gift is already in the post, so you'll just have to keep your set of dangly earings. Enjoy.

In the spirit of all the Korean winners on tour this year...
I think the winner will be: Sum Wun Else

(okay, poor joke, but I'm a poor guy)

To pick someone other than Wie (or the field), I would pick Ochoa. I'd like to see Sorenstam win just so we can stop hearing about her "slump."
