Their ability to get up and down. I was working the 15th green at the Charles Schwab last October. It is one of the hardest holes to get on in regulation but almost everybody was able to get up and down for a par.
For me, I would want Fred Funk's accuracy. Being in the fairway makes everything else so much easier.
Exactly, the ability to hit the fairway off the tee. I'll take my distance with a typical pro's accuracy any day. If I could hit it as straight with my driver and 3 wood as they do, I bet I could shoot par on most courses. I wouldn't want to just magically be handed a pro's short game, putting or even iron shot ability. That's where all the fun in the game is.
The most nerve racking and score killing shots are the tee shots. If I could just get those over with, the game gets a lot more fun and relaxing.
The consistency of swing, seeming almost effortless. Especially folks like Els, Couples, DLIII, etc. I'd like to have folks watch me and say, "Nice swing!", and really mean it!
I think id take a tour pro's long game. My short game is not up to scratch, that much I realise, but with work I could make is reasonably good. On the other hand, I doubt I will ever get my long game anywhere close to a tour pro.
