I suppose this is an excellent opportunity to hark back to that glorious three-week stretch, late last year, when Robert won the Australian Open, PGA and Masters. What a run!
I remember many in the Australian press, including Mike Clayton, anticipating that the great run by Allenby might spur him to his finest season ever on the PGA TOUR.
Unfortunately, Robert has had a rather quiet TOUR season to date, although he has shown signs of life recently. He's a good pick this week. Not only has he produced fine performances in his previous two starts, he also has a very good record at the Western Open, including a victory in 2000.

Good logic. Injuries have played a major part this year but he is certainly finding form. Thanks for your comments.

Brett Quigley, Lucas Glover or Vaughn Taylor are my picks.
I always have a bet on Robert Allenby, but with his recent back problems i can't see him winning this week.
a strong field this week and i reckon it will be a youngster, first time winner or someone who hasnt won for a long time who wins.
