The only time I tune in to watch the LPGA is to get a glimpse of Michelle Wie. Not only am I thoroughly impressed with her game...which happens to be good enough to allow her to someday compete on the PGA TOUR...but I also think Michelle is very beautiful.

Sorry, no disrespect to JJ but I don't think he will make that many people want to tune in. Good player though.

Once before 2008, you arn't exactly going out on a limb there.

But unless there are some players who are among the best at this stage, or some other exciting player, it won't attract so many fans.

I'd call it boring. Sorry about that.
Its still golf at the professional level isn't it?, there all still capable of shooting low 60 rounds, so what would be the difference if Tiger, Mickleson, Furyk etc... was playing? i said i think Camilo will win ATLEAST once before 2008, the reason i said 2008 was because i dont know if he's mentally strong at the moment, but once he wins once he will be a regular winner in my opinion, i think it just matters how long it takes to get his first win and yes it could take a year to get that first win. just because there isn't many MAJOR or 5+ time winners playing a field doesn't make it boring in my opinion.

I will concur that girls like Creamer, Gulbis, and a few others are beautiful, and I do tune in to check them out from time to time But overall the women on the LPGA are pretty rough looking. Take Pat Hurst, Se Ri Pak, Lorana Ochoa, and the list goes on, of women that lack immensly in the looks department. The WTA on the other hand, many of the women out there are gorgeous.
there not playing golf to look sexy (well most aint ), they play golf for a living, and although it is nice from time to time to see some beautiful ladies playing the game, there main mission is to take as little strokes as possible not keep there hair in place.

You named a few you think look rough. I've met Lorena Ochoa, and she's actually quite nice. Se Ri Pak isn't bad either, bit strong though.
But it works both ways. For tennis how about Amelie Mauresmo, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Lindsay Davenport.
Both sports have good looking and not so good looking players.

If I'm watching an event, I like to care about who wins. A very good standard of play isn't enough. That's why a big name player is so important, someone you know something about and either like or dislike them enough to cheer for or against them. That's the whole fun of watching sport.
And by the way, lpga is still golf at a professional level as well.

At least that's what I think.
I doubt 50% of the wta are good looking, but I don't know that many players outside the top 20, so I'll take your word for it.

Typically I'll watch the PGA Tour events, although from time to time I'll watch the ladies (mostly majors, but a few others if the leaderboard is interesting).

What is wrong about a 50 yr. old man appreciating the beauty of a young woman? Even a young girl?

After watching the PGA events I find it interesting that the LPGA events hold an equal attraction for me. Can't quite pin down the reason but it may be simply the attraction of watching the opposite sex and that I can relate my game more to their length than the big boys on the PGA.
