Creamer is playing overall better golf, but has a wrist issue. Pressel has been putting like she was striking the ball with the wrong end of the putter.

I like both players alot, but like "The Big Dog", I will go with Pressel. She just plays really well in match play events.

Olsons,
In fairness to Creamer, she has been asked about her wrist several times and said it hasn't affected her performance at all. For example at the US Open, it was just her form that deserted her.

She has also really taken control of both her matches. I think Pressel has struggled. I'll back Creamer, because if she plays well I think she'll win easily. If it becomes a tight tussle, I'll back Pressel instead.

Wie went 1 down versus Christina Kim, but 3 birdies in 4 holes have put her 2 ahead after 12 holes.

Se Ri Pak level with Lorie Kane after 16 holes. Should Wie win, Pak could be a very difficult opponent.

Pak is ranked 15, but is a much better player than that ranking. She is playing more like a top 5 player, and that will substitute into her ranking as she plays more tournaments

3rd round updates:

- Wie 1 up on Pak after 12, but match has been very tight, going back and forth. Come one Wie.
- Paula Creamer 3 up on Morgan Pressel with 6 to play.
- Ochoa 2 up on Kim with 3 to play. Both players playing great. On hole 14 Kim gets birdie, but Ochoa eagles to win hole.
- Karrie Webb 4 up on Pat Hurst with 7 to play.
- Juli 2 up, 8 to play.
- Annika 5 up, 8 to play.
- Gustafson 2 up on Diaz with 3 to play.
- Lincicome 4 up on Bae with 4 to play.

Wie beat Se Ri Pak 2&1.
That is a big win.
When Wie bet Christina Kim, it was a dangerous match because Christina is capable of great rounds, but Michelle would have been expected to win.

Se Ri is a top player, and had a 1st and 3rd in the last two grand slams, so it was a great win.

Quarter Final Matches:
Wie v Lincicome
Webb v Creamer
Sorenstam v Inkster
Ochoa v Gustafson

They are all interesting matches.

Very interesting afternoon matches...wish I could see them.

The Webb-Creamer and Inkster-Sorenstam matches could be classics, and Wie-Lincicome and Ochoa-Gustafson will be entertaining as well. I'll go with Webb, Sorenstam, Wie and Ochoa in the semis.

In the quarter finals, it is really high quality stuff.
After about 24 holes or so, in the 4 matches, there wasn't a single bogey made.

Lincicome has started really well with 3 birdies in 5 holes, and was 2 up on Wie after 6 holes.
Creamer, Sorenstam were also going well.

Ochoa, Gustafson, after 8 holes, 3 birdies each. All square. Sorenstam 3 up on Insker. Creamer 2 up as well.

Oops, Lincicome won... That threw this whole thing off. Nobody wants to talk about LPGA winners...?

Big win for another young American woman.

Actually I've started a Brittany appreciation thread. Join in if you like.

There had been another thread that was titled as if it were about Brittany, but in fact when you opened it, you would find it was only an excuse to slag off one of the six player she defeated on her way to the title.
The thread has since been deleted and rightly so.

Actually I had it already written.
Those stats just don't pop out of nowhere you know. They had to be researched.
