But Michelle isn't realistically going to win it, so I don't think that affects her.
As regards making the cut, I don't think it will be significantly easier to make the cut, just because the field is weaker.
If there were big names in the field, would the cut line be much if any different? It's not like if there were a few big names the cut line would be -2, and without them it would go to +2. It doesn't work that way.
Yes it does.

If anyone is wondering why she is +3 after 5 holes, it's pretty easy to explain.
Hole 11, penalty drop.
Hole 12, penalty drop.
Hole 14, penalty drop.
I wonder what the context of those drops are. One could be unlucky, but 3 suggests, she has been really spraying it off the tee.
Hopefully, she picks up her game.

was watching it on tourcast, and let me tell you that none of the spectators are safe.
EDIT: another bogey at 15 now.

i disagreed yesterday, but after a terrible start i definately agree with you now. one thing she needed was a good start to have a chance and has had the worst start possible.

No problem. The guy writing it seems to paint the scene pretty well.

I'm watching Tourcast, and it's hard to tell what's going on, but she's been hitting it sideways for most of the first 7 holes, including what looks to have been an OB on a par 3. All her bad shots have been right - well, right.

Come on Wie.
+5 is not good enough.
That's level with JB Holmes, and she's a much better player than him.
