Arrow Michelle versus Vijay Match Play Championship

I have had the tremendous good fortune to have been given a press pass to this exclusive event. This year jointly sponsored by NIKE and by Air Fiji, the course is in impeccable condition and the weather is perfect. As you would expect, a packed gallery awaited the pair's tee-off which was about one hour ago.

Thus far, VJ is 1-up through two holes, they were all square on the first, both having made routine two-putt pars there. Then, on the par-5 second hole Michelle pulled her tee shot left into the water. Her next drive after re-loading (third shot including the penalty) found the fairway, but she was forced to concede the hole when Vijay hit fairway metal to within 6 inches leaving a tap-in eagle.

They are now surveying their respective birdie putts on the green of the par-4 third hole. Still early going, and surely much wild and wooly action remains to be seen in this battle of the titans ! I will keep you updated as the event is not being covered by any of the major U.S. television networks.

Surely there should be some updates on how this matchup is progressing.
Is it a very slow match?

Things are getting ugly on the par-3 eleventh hole, where both players have hit into the greenside bunker .... apparently Michelle could not take any more of Vijay's merciless taunting
