I agree w/Rodney. I've known people who are prone to panic attacks, and if in her situation, they would have broken down on the first tee when the crowd surrounded them. Besides, there was no pressure on her Friday. It was clear she didn't have a chance.

Thanks for making the connection Vipe. I had heard her group was "on the clock". One of her playing partners made reference to her slow play in an interview that I saw (not sure which pro it was or which round he was referencing). Since she appears to have been taking her time, the "exertion factor" would have been pretty low. I think something else was troubling her besides the heat.

Have you had any experience with panic attacks, or are you just talking off the cuff. I can absolutely 100% definetely tell you that it was not a panic attack. You'll just have to trust me on that.
You changed your icon , didn't notice you for a second there. Yes, I watched the coverage, I saw the dry heaves and hitting her shots just like normal then going back to dying. I saw her mope down the fairways while everyone else was at there ball, even one guy went ahead and hit cause he didn't want to wait for her slowness. I saw her go from acting like she was dying to shaking hands smiling and saying sorry ....in her normal voice. I saw her faking it simple as that. What you saw may be another thing, but your in love with her and I am realistic

I think going off the first tee she still thought she had a chance. She needed to go out there and shoot 63-65 and she thought she could do it. She realized she was in over her head after 2-3 holes and "she had to get out of there" So if it was not a panic attack, it was real fake. Her caddy said she refused to take gatorade I think he might of said water too. Because she was afraid of it coming back up. Give me a break , if you think your dying from dehydration or the heat you drink and drink some more simple as that.

The partner was Jeff Gove who complained. He missed the cut himself.
Her other playing partner had absolutely no problems with her.
Jeff Gove said that Michelle was a big part of the reason that he missed the cut. I wonder if the 7 cuts he missed in his previous 9 cuts were mainly Michelle's fault also.

In interesting article:

If you think her shots on hole 9 were normal, then you know very little about a golf swing.
I usually enjoy debating points of contention with people on these boards, but I have come to realise that there is no point in engaging with you.

I have bolded one line of your post. I think any reasonable person will read that and say to themselves, how many other times would she have wanted to "get out of there", such as during her 82 at the US Womens Open, or through many other cases of not being near the cut at mens tournaments.

During her 2nd round, her scoring was fine and she had every chance to put together a round of even par or better, which would have meant that she left with alot of credibility. How anyone would imagine that she would think that it is time to get out of there is beyond normal comprehension.

I'm not sure why I bothered giving your post the length of reply that I did. I think the vast majority of the forum members will take your comments for what they are.

article just says the other guy had no problem making the cut, I am pretty sure Maruyama was talking about how it was unfair for them to be on the clock for the whole back 9 on Thursday and I think they were on the clock as well on Friday because they had fell at least a hole behind due to her.

Sounds good, trust me if your trying to make feel inferior to you, It is not going to happen. You just keep your head in the sand. Some members think she was faking it, some think she was hurt. One look at your icon and previous post count , at least 5 pages of WIE WIE WIE and will take your comments for what they are as well.

Taking care of business before it gets too far out of hand. The next post that violates our standards of "User Friendly" will get a minimum one week timeout. Discuss the issue but keep it friendly! BTW, knocking a 16 year old female for having maybe a major health issue on the course is not "User Friendly"! If you don't like her getting these exemptions start a thread about how evil the press and the sponsers are!
