Favourite Major.

Whats your favourite to watch. mine has to be the Masters, Augusta has plenty of risk reward situation's, a lot of birdies, a lot of bogeys and every year a guaranteed BIG story.

I voted US Open.

My favorite major (or any sporting event for that matter) to watch is the Masters.

My majors in order:

1 US Open (the toughest sporting event maybe in all athletics to win)
2 PGA (least entertaining, but best field)
3 The Open (where it all began)
4 Masters (most entertaining)

Masters. First one of the year, beautiful imagery, always the same course, and I perceive it as the most prestigious of the 4 majors.

Almost exactly my sentiments. Especially being the same course each year. And the crowds don't seem to get as juiced up as some other venues.

The question was: What is your favorite major to watch?

Looks like a runaway victory for The Masters fo me!

Where in the question was "to watch?"

It's favorite title: as in, what one would you want to hold the most?

I want the US OPEN.

It is in London geeza's first post, accompanying the poll, but it looks like he forgot to put it in the poll question.

Well, my favorite to watch as I stated is the Masters. It's the best event of any sport to watch, period. The superbowl always turns out to be a landslide, final four is basketball which I really don't care for. I do love the NHL playoffs though.

But the Masters is the best sporting event to watch no question.

I should say; when I was on seasonal emplyment a couple years ago I loved getting up in the morning to get anhialated and watch the British, that was fun.

I would say after the Masters, I love to watch the Open, Olympic Ice Hockey, the NHL playoffs, and thats about it, in that order.

I like the The Open and the Masters but put the Masters ahead of The Open because Augusta is the most visually appealing golf venue on the planet IMO. I think it's a big stretch to say that the US Open is the toughest sporting event in all of athletics to win.

1. It's a golf course and even though its played in the heat of summer its still golf.
2. There are far tougher physical and mental challenges than grinding at the U.S. Open (i.e. The Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon, The Tour de France, etc.).

The only way you could maybe qualify it as the toughest mental test is from the perspective of an amateur trying to win it by going through the qualifying process, etc.

i edited the whole first post mate, at first i think it just said ''whats your favourite'' (and i thought i would add more to it) and he must of answered the poll before i finished editing it.

Yeah, your'e right.

I've played just about every sport you can play, and I was on the same level with two of my buddies in hockey who are both playing proffesional on the East Coast right now. Be that as it may, I think I'm qualified in posting on this subject.

The toughest sport that I have ever played (mentally and physically) is Tennis.
