Temps are going from near 100 degrees to the 60s and 70s tomorrow. Usually, you get a lot of wind when temps change that much, at least you do here in the States, accompanied with a lotta rain. Maybe in Europe it's different. But I think you'll see some blustery conditions tomorrow, and things will ease up after that.

I think there are far too many places on the course where players do not want to go, in order for the scoring to be very low.

Guys won't be able to hold the greens and they will be running into a number of traps that they don't want to be in.

Also, if anyone decides that they will take advantage of the extra bounce the ball gets, due to the course playing like a road, then those guys will be rolling into trouble, and maybe hitting some out of bounds as well.

It should be interesting.

yep ofcourse there may be a bit of wind, but if its only like it in the morning and calms down in the afternoon and the greens and fairways are soft someone will shoot low. i dont what the weather is like, and at what times it is expected to be like it, it may be bad weather all day for all i know.

Well thunderstorm are forecast. And that usually means heavy rain, but there doesn't necessarily be that much wind, the temperatures are not going to drop as much as that. It's still supposed to be mild, just not as mild.

Of course thunderstorms mean golf gets stopped straight away, no questions asked, so delayed should be expected, in round 1 anyway.

I picked 6-9 under, but if the weather stays like it is and (more importantly) the wind stays like it is, scores could go really low.

so far conditions are benign, and players are shooting well in the mid 60's. If conditions stay final score looks to be over -10

if conditions stay like this, -20 will be very possible, but the greens will firm up a bit and scoring should get harder.

OK, I'll blow my own trumpet.
Got the winning score correct, but I didn't expect Tiger to win this week.
He left the Driver in the bag and found a safe way round Hoylake.
Well done to him TOO.
