Before they teed off Thursday, if Tiger offered David Howell 4 strokes a side, would he have taken the bet? If so, Howell would've only lost by 2....

Here are the standings for our Open Pick Em Contest after the second round. Jarvy5, kevan & gpickypick(twice) were stuck with DC's 82(as were those of us who picked him ) for picking only 9 selections, picking Leonard ... & picking Leonard and Immelman(both not playing) repectively. MCs were plentiful, from The Godfather's 2 (watch out for him ) to Twilldog's 8. 5 seemed to be a very popular number of MCs, all of which will be assigned the highest score recorded, by a selected player, both Saturday & Sunday. i havent done a lot of moving, looks like saturday will have to be moving day for me, still 6 in though and a top 10 possibility.

no kidding! he's usually one you can count on. i only have four in contention, not good.

yeah he is consistent, but his wife is very ill and probably taking a turn for the worse every day, so that had to be at the back of his mind somewhere and now he's gonna take a long needed break to be with his wife (a month or two i believe, but that's depending on how things go in the family). one thing is for sure, he will be back playing strong golf in the near future.

I didn't play in this...probably a good thing. Here is my 8 man fantasy golf team.

Tiger, Geoff, Luke, Scott, Padraig, Stewart, Tim, and Colin

Three of those players didn't even make the cut. Tiger is in 1st. Geoff is in 22nd. Nobody else is anywhere near the top.

I am usally in last by now, so I guess I could say I am happy.

Here are the standings for our Open Pick Em Contest after the third round. All of the MCs were assigned a 79 courtesy of Paul Casey , while those of us who picked him received an extra 79 for good measure. There was some major separation between the pretenders and the contenders, but barring a major Tiger meltdown, not something he is especially noted for when leading a major going into Sunday, it is probably glf22's to lose as he has Mr. Woods winning. At this rate, I could have said 'I'm playing, but just give me the high score for every day...'. I have 2, count 'em, 2 players make the cut from my list. I must be the only person to pick 2 guys out of the 4 in the top 14 to not make the cut, AND 2 out of the second 15 to not get to the weekend. That's quite a feat!
