Look on the bright side. You're still not in last place. There are a couple with only 3 guys left and a few more with only 4, including me. I think 5 MCs was about average. Most of us could've probably done better by picking names out of a hat.

I'm just happy to be in the top 10 still, since this is my first time participating in one of these.

Hi wazmankg, i dont want cuase a fuss but i notice in your original post that you think i only had 9 selections. After you sent me pm telling me of the 9 i immediately edited my selections adding Allenby as the tenth. I hope this does'nt confuse things too much. Apologies for my original mistake.

My mistake. I've had you down with 10 players, including Allenby, all along on my spreadsheet kevan and your total reflects that. So everyone please disregard my posts indicating kevan was short a player.

Here are the Final Standings.

Congratulations to glf22

The Winner of our 2006 Open Pick Em Contest

This was pretty much a foregone conclusion after the first few holes. All of the MCs were assigned an 80 courtesy of Calc . Saturday's MCs were adjusted from Casey's 79 to Marko Ruiz's 80 as I'd forgotten my own rule .. MCs received the highest score from the field, not just from those chosen. A big congratulations to Tiger on #11 and his 3rd Open. I'm sure that Victory had some fabulous prize in store for you, glf22, but I believe he is in some sort of witness protection program ... so in the meantime a big, gaudy tagline in your signature, hailing your victory, will have to do.

6th place!! That's certainly my best finish in a pickem so far...hopefully I can continue the upward movement at Medinah. I'm close...just need to dial in those tricky "A" players a bit more.

Second place is prett respectable. Only one more major for me to try to keep my pickem title. Maybe I can repeat at the PGA.

Congrats to glf22 !!

And now? !!!! Last place with a falling bullet! Thank you to Tim Clark for a +7 on the final day to rub salt in that gash. This tourney resembles every round of golf I've played lately...

Has there being the likes of it before?

After 3 round, Rodney was in 34th position of the 39 competitors.
Then after the 4th round, up to 5th position.

Surely that is some kind of record.

The way I came up the field down the stretch at a major should be an inspiration for the other contestants.
