yep, but I dont think Sergio can challenge Tiger on the final day, and his putting stroke usually struggles... ^^^ and thats a good point, Tiger dealt with no wind this morning

Son! We are all dealing with a lot of wind on these posts revolving around Tiger Woods. Tiger must feel lucky that he does not have to compete with any of us on GR!

It was good to see Tiger think his way around the course...reminds me of the way he played back in 2000. Of course, an 8 shot win is asking a bit much this week unless he goes nuts over the weekend, but he's right where he (and his fans) wants to be.

I agree. Smart move on his part. With the roll-out they are getting the decision not to hit driver is not only not hurting him, it's making him look like a golf wizard. When I heard he was thinking about maybe not even carrying the driver, I was concerned, but man, did he ever call that one.

If conditions stay the same and Tiger shoots 2 69s there is a better chance that he'll be looking up at the winner than win by 5.

My thoughts exactly. "If" is a big word as always, but if the conditions stay the same, he'll probably need to shoot around -8 or -9 on the weekend. I don't think -6 will get it done at this point.

At least, if today's early scoring is any indication. Tiger and Ernie are both struggling a bit early though.

Well, looks like -20 won't be the winning number unless someone goes pretty low tomorrow. -17 or -18 looks more realistic at this point. Assuming Tiger can finish up -1 through the last 2 holes (par, birdie), he'll be -14. At that point, I would think a 68 or 69 would be in order for him given that he had two 3-putts today and he'll at least get rid of those. And even if it's not him winning, someone else would need a 67 at least to get to that -17 number and a 66 to get to -18.

I picked -17 originally and that will be about right unless the weather turns. Tiger will have to eagle or birdie 18 for the solo lead now.

I think he'll probably birdie, but he has got to be KICKING himself right now. Three 3-putts in just 9 holes. 34 putts through 17 holes. Ridiculously bad for him.
