Ummm...it's Tiger and Sergio in the final group. Sergio posted -12 before DiMarco did, so he gets to play later. Basically, it's the kiss of death for Sergio though. Final round, final group of a major with Tiger usually means you're going to struggle.
OOPS! That what I get for watching TV and listening to the announcers while typing!
Im not a psychic or anything, but im betting Sergio is in positive numbers tomorrow, not because he is playing alongside Tiger, but because he doesnt seem to handle pressure well. I myself am rooting for Tiger, but still believe Dimarco is going to be a HUGE factor coming down the stretch.

Ouch. After all his whining this week over nothing (Tiger's holeout on 14 was into a 10-15 mph wind, which is exactly the wind Sergio played in during his round Friday), I wouldn't mind seeing him shoot such a bad score. But, Sergio really is striking the ball REALLY well right now. I think he'll shoot somewhere around -1 or -2, but I also think Tiger might shoot -4 or -5 so that would still leave Sergio in the dust.
I dont know TTU, I think Tiger scored exactly what he should have TODAY. He putted very well the first 2 days but that's been more the exception for him lately and will probably be the determining factor tomorrow...a putting contest.
Tiger collapsed under the pressure just like I expected. He missed 3 tap-ins, its no surprise though hes not been in this position for a long time. Basically anyone at -8 or better is in contension, sorry Tiger but looks like you gave away the event.

So have you ever actually watched a golf tournament before Wildbore ?

What? He hit 15/18 GIR (1 of the missed ones was at 17 and 5 inches off the green...puttable) and hit 12/14 fairways. He hit the ball just as good as he did the first two days. He putted just fine on the front nine (good speed on the long putts), but then all of a sudden he got on the back nine and completely lost his speed control. He had closer birdie chances on the back nine, and yet managed to 3-putt 3 times from less than 30 feet away. That's pretty bad, even if he has been putting mediocre this year. He seemed to have "it" back the first two rounds but lost it again on the back nine today. I bet he'll be practicing his speed quite a bit the rest of today and will make more putts tomorrow. He can't possibly putt worse than 34 (35 if you count the one at 17 from off the green). Again, I'll say that his ball striking was good enough for 68, and at worst it should have been a 69 (the first two 3-putts were little 2 foot putts whereas the 3rd one was a 5 or 6 footer so that one is more understandable).
I agree that his ball striking was good, but it seems as if you consider Tiger's putter going south on him occassionally as some sort of anomoly. It's not...anymore.

Well, to an extent I would agree. But three 3-putts in 9 holes!? Not even Sergio has done that over a 9 hole stretch the last 3 days, and even at Tiger's worst he's still a better putter than Sergio. Not only that, but they were 3-putts from pretty close range (especially 10 and 14 with just 2 foot putts...pro's don't miss those kind of putts, plain and simple!). I'm pretty hopeful he'll get it all straightened out. He did it last year after struggling in the 3rd round, and I think his ball striking is in much better shape today than it was last year after the 3rd round.
well, one thing is for sure, the coverage is terrible. ABC goes to commercial every 30 seconds! that and instead of showing the tournament, they are always doing an interview with a player who just finished playing. he'll talk for 5 minuets about something that nobody could possibly care less about, and in the mean time we're missing one of the biggest tournaments of the year. what is the deal with the music that they play when going to commerical? pink floyd and billy idol!? I love them both, but during a golf tournament? I wish CBS had coverage of the tournament. They are the best. Their masters coverage is superb.

I couldn't agree more! Half the time they'd go to commercial while Els and Woods were about to hit their tee shots on the next hole. They'd come back and we'd see them already in the fairway hitting their next shot. TNT covered all the shots of the big names on Thursday and Friday (Woods on Thursday, Els and Mickelson on Friday). It got really annoying how ABC kept going to commercial. We even missed Els' tee shot that went in the gorse. That was a pretty important shot.
