Ya know. Ya know. Ya know. Ya know.

There was an interviews with a golfer and I was surprised how many times that golfer used the phrase "ya know".

Have you guessed that golfer is in my avator?
You probably have, because there have been lots of similar interviews. Yes it's Ernie Els.

It was on the golf channel, and he probably said "ya know" about 50 times.

So anyway, in case people thought I was making it up, I looked up the golf channel website and their is a different interview. He didn't say it quite as much, but he did manage it at least 17 times in the 1:56 minute interview, and he wasn't talking all that time.

click on this
Then select: "Ernie Els lurks one shot back after 2nd round, posts 7-under 65. " for the interview.

Just listen to even the start of it, the ya knows are coming thick and fast.

There is also another, ya know, interview at the open website
From the link, just click on play.

Has Ernie been spending alot of practice time with Michelle lately? Perhaps he has. If he has, she is having a good effect on his golf, whatever about his interview techniques.

Yes, a verbal "tick" like that can be so distracting that you stop hearing what the person is saying. And here's some good news for you, now that you've noticed it, it will REALLY bug you when you hear him speak and you'll REALLY notice it even more. (Ya know?)

Reminds me when people use 'like' all the time.

Come to think of it I'm not sure there is a single bit of his interview that I even know what he said.

I agree with the 'Ya Know' thing with Ernie...

HOWEVER, I find him to be one of the more interesting interviews. He's somewhat boring but I feel as though he is very honest. He handles the questions about Tiger very well.

Sometimes I feel bad for the players during their post-round press conferences. It seems like every question they ask is about Tiger and you wonder why some of them don't just say "Hey, what about me and my round? Ask Tiger about his round."

Interesting and boring, what a great combination.
