Well, let's add another one to the list of Sergio major final round chokes:

2001 U.S. Open
2002 U.S. Open
2003 British Open
2002 British Open
2006 British Open
2005 British Open
2004 PGA
2003 Masters
2006 Players Championship

And this is just the majors...there's been many 4th round collapses in regular events with big names up top. This is a problem for Sergio, no doubt. Once or twice, okay. But this is happening WAY too often. That's why I think people are nuts if they ever pick Sergio to win a major, not until at least he surprises us. I mean, he's not even getting to the back-9 on Sunday. He's choking right off the bat in these things. Then when he's out of contention (like Today) he might make a few birdies when the fat lady has already sung.

It was inevitable I'm afraid, I almost had a bet this morning on him failing to make the top 3 after the final round.

I don't know if you're kidding, but I've heard 19th hole behavior attributed as the cause of many golfers yips. I haven't heard anything about Sergio having those kinds of issues though.

Sergio Garcia made it very hard for Tiger today . his putter was on fire, yeah it might well have been the way he used it under pressure .
when are we gonna see the Sergio that can win under the pressure of a Major, i thought this was the one where he could hold his nerve. but if there is a positive, that is that all the near misses counts as experience in this situation.
i still say he wins a Major before he is 30, but his mental state on the greens needs improving before that happens.

Oh the little banana...he did play well on Saturday but what are you going to do? This one was for Tiger to lose not for Sergio to win...
