Congratulations Tiger

Well done in winning your third Claret Jug...the display of emotion there at the end seems fitting. This one was for Earl. Great job!!

how nice is it that the top 2 finishers, have recently lost special people in their life. although i wanted DiMarco coming down the stretch, you can't beat the world number 1 when he's playing like that.

Yeah, DiMarco pulled out all the stops (20 footer for par at 12, 35 footer for birdie at 13, 45 footer for par at 14, and 20 footer for birdie at 16). DiMarco just did everything you could hope for, but Tiger managed to hit some really good shots there on 14,15, and 16 to take control back.

Great play by DiMarco, but Tiger was just too tough.

That we just cool to watch, its the first golf match i have had a chance to sit down and watch and just WOW. and may be Tiger will remember that his dad is always with him, even if only in spirit.
Dimarco was cool to watch too. garcia , in my opinion, just looked goofy in all yellow, but still tryed to play a good round.
Like i said it was just cool to watch my first golf match, and what a match it was.

i think Sergio was dressed smart today, it wasn't a real bright yellow that shines out at you.

Incredible playing by Tiger. In control all week. He looked "2000-LIKE" to me.

That's cuz he wasn't hitting driver. Andy North made a VERY good point that back in 1999/2000, Tiger would hit some stray shots with the driver but he did not hit anywhere near as many off the tees as he has the last few years. He would hit the stinger irons or a stinger fairway wood. He's become kind of obsessed with the technology like Phil was a few years ago. I hope this week finally convinces Tiger that if he hits irons off the tees on some of the holes, he can win tournaments even playing from 200 yards out. Hopefully he scales back now that he's proven to himself that he CAN play like that if he wants to. He'd win half his events pretty much every year if he played more conservatively off the tees in my opinion.

Congratulations Tiger!. You could see after it was over how much it meant to him and his memory of Earl. Fitting.

As expected, a great final day at The Open Championship! Tiger played well, and responded to the challenge from Chris. Definitely one of the best I've seen. And I believe DiMarco has cemented his place on the Ryder Cup Team!

Hey Tiger, congratulations on a great, great win! You make all of us golfers ---at whatever handicap ---- try a little harder and therefore make us a little better than we were. Thanks.
