I thought it was strange that Tiger and Sergio were able to continue playing with the purple substance on the green. How did the R&A know that the substance was not toxic? All they did was clear the debris and allow them to continue play. At one point after Tiger putted from off the green he marked his ball and looked at his fingers and apparently some of the purple substance was on his fingers. I don't believe they would have been able to continue playing if it was in the states. Maybe I am wrong, but I believe play would have been halted until they could positively identify what the substance was.

Send out the DECON and HAZMAT team and everyone else take shelter until the all-clear is given! We'll be issuing atropine injectors to everyone downwind of the substance, just in case!

Quote from the Foxnews article:

Fathers 4 Justice is a campaign for paternal rights in child custody cases. Similar devices were thrown at Prime Minister Tony Blair in the House of Commons two years ago during a debate
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its a shame that the paternal rights issue is such a hot topic that some people feel the need to protest in such a way. I tend to agree with their overall views on fathers rights, and believe that we have the same sort of troubles here in the US, but some of these protests are just plain stupid.

I think you are very much correct, and rightfully so. There's alot of nuts out there. For all anyone knew, it could have been purple tinted Anthrax.
