The event is 4 rounds, but it runs Wednesday to Saturday, which I guess is overnight on Tuesday for those in the usa, maybe the French don't like playing on Sunday, perhaps.
Anyway, it should be good, because it is called the 5th major, a bit like the Players Championship.
It has very high prize money, for a womens event, 2nd only to the us womens open championship.
They are sexing up the event. Perhaps I'll come back with some details, if you posters are good.
We have an Aussie based South Korean girl named Amy Yang playing . Amy is an amateur and is a brilliant performer. Will be turning Pro next year. Don't be surprised if she is a high finisher. Also has entered the British Open.

Is she the girl that won the Anz ladies Masters?
If so, she is supposed to be good.
Okay, a picture that is promoting the event, and is okay.
The girls look fine, is Michelle really that tall though, in relation to Guilbis and Creamer?
This picture on the other hand is blatant explotiation.
Then again I doubt the person in the photo would mind one bit.
i dont know, im starting to give up on women's golf, Michelle I love to see playing but the rush isnt the same, the women's us open was real good to watch though, i'll watch the rest of the majors and call it a year on my women's golf

EVIAN, FRANCE - JULY 26: Michelle Wie of the United States (right) and Ai Miyazato of Japan take a break during their round to admire Rodney and Leaguegolf, before resuming play.
Nice eagle by Wie on the 18th yesterday. Now, today she's another 6 under through 14; 9 under overall and in a tie for 2d place. Ochoa's tied with her at 9 under and Webb is leading just one shot ahead at 10 under. Once again Wie is in contention and proving she's deserving of her number 2 Rolex Ranking.
She hasn't won yet, but she sure hasn't had a bad LPGA tourney (ie. Birdie Kim at +13, Pressel at +6, Lincicome at +12, Prammanasudh at +5, etc. etc.). Hjorth was having another great day but she just had two doubles in a row.

Wie is now in a tie for the lead with Webb at 9 under. Ochoa has slipped a shot and now trails them by 1. There are quite a few big names still within a few shots, so this should be a good tourney to watch over the weekend. Anyone know if there's live TV coverage anywhere?
