I believe that it is quite useful to have something else to focus on besides golf, 'having a family' being a very sound example of 'something else'. If you put all your eggs in the golf-basket, you will get frustrated or burnt out pretty easily, and having a family should be a very welcome distraction. I have no doubt that Tiger can find success on both fronts.
