I think it may be you that is not getting the point.
My interest in Michelle Wie is as regards golf.

I've met nearly all the top female pros, and of the ones I have found most attractive are Grace Park and Lorena Ochoa, both of whom are around my own age, by the way. Lorena Ochoa might seem like an odd choice, but she is one of those people who is much nicer in the flesh, than on tv and she is very personable which makes a big difference.

Ouch for Sorenstam today with a 79. +7 for the tournament. Wie finished +6 for the tourney after a 74. Tough week for the two of them.

Sherri Steinhauer 2 ahead with 2 to play.
Can she hold it together for those 2 extremely difficult holes?

Christie 2 behind with 1 hole to play. Alot depends on what she does. If she messes it up then it makes Sherri Steinhauer's job very easy.

Sherri Steinhauer -8, two to play
Kerr -6, one to play
Ochoa -4, two to play.

A little side bet between me and you, no money involved.
I bet Wie will be ahead of Juli Inkster after 4 rounds. Deal?

You sure missed that prediction.. and the top 5 for wie plus her 64.
So you have lost this debate.

Christie Kerr double bogeyed the last.

That makes Sherri's job much easier.
She has 4 shots to spare, so even though they are difficult holes, they should be able to play it safe and win easily enough.

Yeah, Id say that should pretty much wrap it up.

Jees, read the post. I said impression. It doesnt matter the truth of your opinion, you (and others) give an altogether wrong impression.

But if that doesnt bother you... well just be careful you dont give the impression to the wrong person.

Michelle Wie tied for 26th, 13 shots out. All side bets are now due, gentlemen!

Hopefully she learned a bit about playing links and can come back next time better prepared. Her and several others!

Yep, a tough week for both of them. Wie's 26th place is actually extremely good for a 16 year old. She beat 134 golfers. She beat dozens of past LPGA champs and Majors winners including Annika.

This tourney will likely move Wie up in the Rolex rankings (after they adjust the divisor to 35).

No, Rodney is not interested in Wie in that way. I'm guessing that he's interested in facts, truth anad correcting people's misunderstandings. I've defended Wie frequently on these boards, but I'm not any more interested in her than I am Laura Davies or whoever.

If people were posting incorrect info or bashing Davies, I'd probably be trying to counter their arguments as well. I spent some time defending Tiger against his bashers two years ago when he was reworking his swing and earlier this year when he took a break and people were saying he wouldn't be any good this year because of the break. He won the Open last week and won this week by a large margin by shooting 4 straight 66s. A couple weeks ago some guy was actually trying to say that Tiger only gets the media's attention because he's a minority. That is completely incorrect and I spent a good deal of energy explaining that this guy was flat wrong.

Rodney likes to debate with people who he thinks are wrong. I think most people are overly critical of people like Wie and Tiger. Phil gets bashed too often, so does Colin Montgomery, so did Christie Kerr until she lost weight. I dislike all of this jelousy, unnecessary criticism and particularly dislike the posting of false information. I think Rodney enjoy's the debate and so do I. I don't want to speak for him (I just did though, sorry), but he's not infactuated with Wie, he's simply debating with people he believes are wrong.

Congrats to Sherrie Steinhauer. I didn't realize that she'd won this before.

OK let's review, Rodney. I'm reluctant to be too harsh on a fellow Michelle Wie fan, so I'll just post some observations.

You said - Michelle would win it
I said - Lorena would win it (which tied me with Olsen3's Inkster pick for the best pick to win). I also predicted trouble and a non top 10 finish for Michelle.

You predicted a late run by Annika (44 coming in today) and for Kung to make a run (78 today).

This brings us to your post round 1 prediction that Michelle would catch Juli...

Seriously ... what were you thinking ? Was that a shot in the dark or did you really think she had a chance ? I've never been more confident about a bet (NO MONEY... what the heck is that ? ) in my life and as I predicted Michelle did not pick up a single stroke. I'm generally on your side on the Michelle topics, but what was you're thinking here ? BTW, mine was HOFer Inkster, 8 stroke lead, some links experience, MUCH more major success, having a good year. It was a no-brainer. I'll be taking suggestions for sig line comments to remind Rodney of his foolishness. Please keep it clean and civil and as always ... GO MICHELLE !

infactuated (in-fak-chew-ated); to be enamored, but not necesarily in love, with the facts.
