YET?, I think i did that at least 3 days ago. She has just validated my opinion, with her first round, that she wouldnt do well on a Links course with the weather
Links course?
Weather?
You Wiemaniacs are all the same. Making up excuses for your girl, just because she didn't play well.

I think youre confused, I WASNT making any excuses for her at all, I was pointing out that I at no point thought that she would do well in this tournament. By no means is Wie *my girl*. Maybe you should pay more attn to some of my posts instead of drooling over her before you TRY to make an informed statement.
You want her to play only 8 tournaments a year? That's the max that the LPGA will allow a 16 year old to play. What is she supposed to do the other 44 weeks of the year and how would this improve her golf game?
She knew this when her and *her people* decided that a kid should become a professional, had she stayed an amatuer for a couple more years she would have a wide variety of tournaments to choose from.
How would you say +5 on a hole? What is that anyway?
Karrie had 8 strokes on the par 3 nineth. Yikes.
That was after a double bogey at the eight as well.

How would playing in "a wide variety of tournaments" against inferior opponents on inferior layouts for no money have improved her game or her situation in general, seeing as she has already proved that she can hang with the best women players in the world and I dare say IS one of the best female players in the world ?

This was merely in response to a post stating how many events she is *allowed* to play. Prior to her turning pro was she not invited to nearly this many events anyway, and along with that playin several amatuer events also.
I do agree that the caliber of talent wouldnt be as high, and the majority of the courses not as well designed, however she would still be playing in sanctioned events on a regular basis.
Then there's that little matter of $10,000,000.00+ in endorsements and the $700,000.00+she's earned so far in tournament prize money. In case you didn't notice........there's more zeros in those numbers than there are major Junior Amateur tournaments that she could play in.
Last time I looked the Junior Amateur events that are played on a regular basis didn't pay quite that well. Wie is a world class professional golfer and I believe she's going to remain that way.......whether you approve of it or not.
Ok rodney_c, I'll "tone it down" following this post.
The post asked the question what was she supposed to do for the other 44 weeks, all i did was give an answer. Never said anything about the money.
Nobody plays every week of the year and I think Wie could use her time off to start counting/spending all the money she wouldn't have if you were her career advisor.
That being said, then why so many posts about her being limited to the amount of tournaments she is allowed to play? She can go buy herself something to occupy her time while she is looking at an empty professional mantle.
The key word there is "professional." She plays in the number of professional tournaments that the current LPGA rules allow. Who's to say her professional mantle is empty? Maybe thats where she stacks her "professional" money!
Yall are like Braves fans, winning the division for countless number of years in a row without a World Series seems to be enuff. I myself would be livid if i were consistently *close* to the winners circle, but continually unable to close the deal, I guess thats just the competitive nature I have, as do most of the professional greats in their own respective areas. Tiger, Jordan, Parcells, etc..... I just dont see that from Michelle, and that is where my problem lies with her. As good as she is and as remarkable of a talent that she is, until she gets that attitude, she will never be considered great. again this is IMO only I guess.
Its not about the championships, its about the way she carries herself, and as cliche as it may be, I dont see that intensity in her.
And before its brought up YES I am the one that keeps saying she hasnt won anything yet, which she hasnt, but in the end its more about her attitude toward the finshes

Yes, you gave an answer, but generally when providing an answer, we look for one that is based, at least to a certain extent, on reality. Nobody in their right mind would pass up millions of $ and the chance to play against the best in the world in order to play junior golf events. She'd win by 20 shots a tournament and she'd risk getting injured and never receiving a dime in endorsements or prize money. Her game would lanquish as she would not face competition remotely worthy of her abilities.
