Just checked the leaderboard, Tiger is at -7 thru 15 for the day, moving him to the top of the board at -13 tied with Quigley who is in the clubhouse and, two ahead of Sluman and Van Pelt, also in the clubhouse. Play has been suspended for the day.

I was there for this day. Tiger left a lot out there. Weir hit the ball amazing again today but his putter wasn't as hot. He hit a lot of good putts and got no reward. I expect Tiger and Weir to fight for the title.

Tiger bogied the par 5 16th this morning (tee shot OB) and parred the 7th yesterday (after a tee shot in the fairway). I'd agree with you that he left quite a bit out there, although those early lipout putts were 12-15 footers so that's understandable.

Tiger's certainly in good shape heading to Sunday...he'll need to shoot another solid round though, because that course is so prone to giving up birdies. I think more importantly, he's shown a continuance of the conservative strategy off the tee, hitting more 3 woods and such this week, which will serve him very well at Medinah IMO.
^ Me either. Im certain Balco has nothing to do with it.
Nah, golfers in general are more sophisticated than the avg athlete from other sports, Im sure its HGH. (Ok before i get ripped here this is totally a joke) I
I too am amazed at the distance he gets off his clubs, irons in particular. Have to wonder tho what the lofts actually are on some of these guys irons compared to what we amatuers purchase.

Tiger's lofts are actually weaker than 95% of the rest of the Tour. His 9 iron is closer to the loft of most guys' PW, etc. than it is to their 9 iron.

Yeah, that's what Feherty and McCord were talking about. They were like, "We need to check his lofts because there's no way they're that weak." LOL. But when you've got a 110-115 MPH swing with the irons (120+ with the driver obviously), I guess it's conceivable how he can hit them so far.
I was rooting for Mike Weir (I always go for the lefties) but got to give Tiger his props. Simply the best golfer of our time, bar none.
This must have been what it was like to be around in the late twenties watching Bobby Jones, the early sixties and Arnold, the early seventies and Jack...just dominating.
