Your right we are lucky. I taped all four rounds on the Buick Open and wouldn't you know it after the 15th hole in the fourth round the power went out in my neighborhood so I missed the last three holes.

I think when we watch Tiger play we are also watching history being made. There is simply been no other golfer like him and few other athletes period that compete at the level of excellence he's attained.

12 is a nice round number - the PGA makes 12. Then Tiger can go to Bobby Jones' Masters to match his record of 13 - of course, Tiger by this reckoning has passed Jones, since Jones total includes amateur majors. Tiger is at 14 and counting......

While I wouldn't make an argument for Jones being ahead of Tiger... I just don't know that much about Jones career, but amateur titles in the 20s carried a lot more weight than they do today.

we will never see another quite like the tiger, work ethic he has, all of the wins seems like every week I turn on the PGA Tiger is up there, you never see him underplay a tournament or "take a shot off", 50 wins is insane

The other thing worth considering, it ain't 50 BC Opens, John Deere Classics and Disney Funai's. We're talking U.S. Opens, Masters, Colonials, Memorials, etc. etc.

He doesn't play the chump events.

**** even winning 2nd tier tourneys like B.C. Open, John Deere Classic 50 times would be very, very impressive.

But Tiger Woods won 4 Masters and 2 PGAs, two tournaments which Bobby Jones had no chance to play in. So Jones had 13, plus he quit golf at like 30 years old.

I doubt Tiger will win the PGA, much less be regarded as the best ever.

Much like Bobby got many extra cracks at the US Amateur and British Amateur, which Tiger hasn't been able to play in since he was 20. It evens out.
