Tiger has won 50 of 210 PGA Tour starts

and beat Jack to 50 by almost 3 full years.

There is only one other player I will ever compare him in any way to - the rest are just, well, the rest.

I wonder if Annika is sending him a text. Well done on your 50 wins. By the way I have 67 wins.
Or whatever number she has.

Plus 10 silly season events, but who cares.

Yeah, 198 (197?) is pro starts, 210 includes amateur starts.

LOL. I've got a feeling he's going to beat her overall record by a ways. She's what, 36? So he's got 6 years to get to 68? I think he can get there pretty easily. In fact, I won't be shocked if he has around 65-70 at the end of 2009.

According to the commentators on CBS today they said it marked his 50th TOUR win in 196 starts as a professional. Simply amazing and really puts into perspective how much he's accomplished in 10 short years. When they showed the list of players with 50 or more career wins every one of those guys is in the World Golf Hall of Fame and all are considered to be legends of the game. Tiger is on a different level than his professional peers and its unlikely that guys like Els, Singh, Goosen, Mickelson, Garcia, etc. will ever be mentioned in the company of such greats as Hogan, Nicklaus, Nelson, Palmer, and Player as being equals.

And his swing now looks better than ever. It's more of a one-plane swing that stays on plane from takeaway. There is no extra motion. And he's confident in it beyond belief. It was still a work in progress at Doral, now it's just second nature. And he's scary...

One thing mentioned by the commentators was that he has now won 3 Masters with 3 different swings. Has anyone else ever been so successful after messing around with their swing? The natural talent, athletic ability and confidence it must take to change things that are working in an effort to get even better. But I sense Tiger was not satisfied with yesterday's win, because he didn't bury his opponents. I don't think he enjoys winning non-major events as much unless he wins by 5 or more strokes. I believe he'll be working on his game this next week and a half, tweaking things like his driver accuracy, and be ready to just run away with it at Medinah.
