Greg Norman upcoming events

August 7th, 8th
TELUS Golf Skins Game
- A bit of fun with 5 players. Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Stephen Ames, John Daly, and Sergio Garcia.

Aug. 10-13
The International

Aug. 21-27.
JELD-WEN Tradition - Champion Tour Major

Nice for Greg to play some golf. He has had a tough run of it.
It would be great if he could win the champions tour major, and have a good run at some pga events.

I was there today and just wanted to give a quick update. He played well, did not win any skins today but did hole some putts to halve the hole. Ames and Garcia really put a great show on though

Go the Shark - check his odds for The International - 751/1 - absolute insult to the great man.

My favourite bookmaker has him at 250-1, ahead of a good few players.

thats good odds, get some cash on him if you think he stands a chance (and be glad that the bookmaker is giving you those odds).
but it isn't an insult, i dont think he stands (and nor does your bookmakers) much of a chance myself and wouldn't stick anything on him.

the best we can get in the U.K. (known bookmakers) and Ireland seems 400/1 at Golfing Gods which is online.

I'm planning on seeing him when he's out here in Oregon for the Tradition later this month. I've been a Norman fan for a long time, and it will be great to see him play.

the oddschecker?, i use it all the time to compare the odds, makes it a bit easier than going through all the sites.
click on the player name to find out how much they have drifted and shortened over the past week, month etc.... dont really work in normal tour events (Well you can see how they shortened and drifted over the last few days) as the odds are only offered a few days before a tournament, but in a major and other sporting events it is good.

Greg Norman's day has come and gone. I think people are not realistic when they say he will do well in the future. He missed the cut at the International. His PGA career is over. That's ok. He was a great champion but he is older now and cant compete. As for the Champion's tour . . . I dunno. Loren Roberts and others I think are in better shape and have a better game.

Norman was great in his day, but his day has passed.

Greg Norman missed the cut by only 1 shot.
He was 2 shots inside the cutline with a hole to play, and got a double bogey. That was obviously just the presssure because he was out for so long and desperate to make the cut to have 4 rounds of golf.
If he can remain injury free, he will soon get over that cut hurdle and he play well in some pga tournaments.

Greg hit alot of fairways at the International, but not alot of greens in regulation. Once he plays more and gets those irons dialed in, he will perform well. His International performance was very encouraging after a good while out of the game.
