Oh the dread...

She really lives under a microscope...who knows what the situation was...and she IS only 16...would a formal meeting with lawyers present where Michelle and her father sat down with the caddy, looked eye to eye and carefully explained reasons and agreed to severance terms have been better? It didn't work out and they let the caddy go...in the end the caddy is out of a job and a dissatisfied golfer is looking for the missing piece of the puzzle (something that we can all relate to esp. the driver of the quarter crowd and owners of multiple putters - guilty!)

I am a Michelle Wie fan but I wouldn't want to be her caddie. She already fired 3 or 4 caddies in how many events?

If you analyse the tournaments she's played in this year she has the Best Scoring Average of Any Golfer! She doesn't need to change a thing. She just needs more experience.

She's been near the top in putting statistics the last several tourneys. What tourney are you refering to?

I wasn't refering to the joke...besides, I might be alone here but I have ABSOLUTELY no idea what the joke means....

Definite swing changes plus a caddie that knows her game and she trusts.

Without the swing changes she may become the best female golfer never to win a major (this is after retiring through injury at 22).

OUCH, Wie should have at least told him at the the very minimum over the phone, if not in person. But we probably don't know the whole story.

Johnston said he is shocked and surprised in an article i read, which also mentioned something about the Womens Open, if thats (Wie's Open placing) the reason he has been sacked then what a joke that is.
he said he was shocked, so to me that says it must of came suddenly without any notice.
getting rid of an experienced caddie (who has been through virtually everything as a caddy) at this time in her career is the worst thing possible, to think of all these top 5's she has had with him on the bag, what is she thinking.

Aargh seems weird to me like she's gettin all the attention again. From her first major win she hasn't been as 'Talked about.' Maybe she's doing it all for obvious reasons...or maybe I'm talking stupid...

Ok, she fired her caddy. Whatever. He wasn't going to be with her for life, anyway. Tiger ditched Fluff. I would guess every player goes through this, except for maybe a Tom Watson, a Phil Mickelson, etc.

And I also thought it was to have her agent tell the poor ******* at the airport. And I also think she might be better off with a short game coach like Pelz, or a mental dude like Nutella or whatever his name is.

But, um, what's wrong with her swing exactly?

She may have had a few good tourneys with the putter lately, but he's right - putting is easily the worst part of her game, followed by short game. Does anyone know where she ranked in the British?

Lawyers? You don't need lawyers to fire someone. At least have the decency to sit down with him in person and say, hey, we've had some success, but because of a, b, and c I really think it's best for me to move on. Thanks for everything.

It's not that hard, and it is the right thing to do.
