The intensity will still be the same, though.

All in all, the US Ryder Cup team maybe the weakest it has ever been. Hopefully DiMarco plays like he did at the British rather than he did the other tourneys this year, like last week. And hopefully David Toms and Chad Campbell actually start to swing it with some consistency soon.
don't worry about your so called ''young guys'', Brett Wetterich is a superb player and i think he could be a good ryder cup player, JJ Henry the same again, Vaughn Taylor could just be your strongest player, he's been putting outstandingly when under pressure. you may think it could be the weakest it has ever been, but the USA ryder cup team needs these youngster's in my opinion, i think europe will win, but i don't believe you have anything to be worried about and you should probably be glad that you've got so many first time players who have played theirself into the team, after the pressure of the first tee etc... has gone, i can see it being a very good ryder cup.

Experience Overrated?

Why not Verplank over Couples and Love if we need veterans so bad?

With the U.S. having lost 4 of the last 5 Ryder Cups, why would we want veterans who are used to losing?

i don't think its all down to people who are used to losing etc.., but more a need of passion for the Ryder cup and that could be the edge you get with these first timers.

Good point. I don't see Love and Couples as having passion for the Ryder Cup. Give me Jerry Kelly and Corey Pavin.

Verplank was the first rookie from the U.S. who was a captian's pick. Why don't we do that more often?
