Do you want Tiger to tie or pass Jack at 18

Now it does look very likely but us true golf fans still understand how tough it could be. It could be very very tough and he doesnt break it, it could be easy and he gets 25, it could have stretches where its tough and then boom he wins 2 and he barely passes Jack or ties Jack. Do you want Tiger to tie or pass Jack's professional major record of 18?

I do want him to, but I want it to be harder for him. I would love to see Davis Love, or Els, Vijay, or even Michelson (sp) actually start taking the guy on when he's HOT.

That said, I don't know of a single golfer in all of American golf history that plays like that in the fourth rounds of majors.

Someone has to take this guy on in the heat of the battle and get a victory.

Ok, I'll do it.

I would hope that even the non-Tiger fans would vote yes to this. Records are made to be broken.

On a side note... 'Yes' could refer to either response!

I honestly do not care one way or the other. I am assuming he will break the record. I just hope someone makes it challenging for him (apart from himself). It's great watching Tiger play, but real competition makes for better viewing.

I will root for Tiger to break the record..then I'll root for someone else to break his...it's the nature of man to compete. Records are a goal for others to acheive...when Tiger is finished, the bar will be higher, but someone WILL,eventually, go one better....

i was going to vote YES, but i thought about it and voted NO, not anything to do with not liking Tiger or prefering Jack over Tiger, but really because i want someone to come out of the pack and challenge Tiger all the way in a lot of Majors (as others have already said). ofcourse i think Tiger will break this record, and ill be happy when/if he gets his 19th Major. was slightly in the middle of a YES or NO (as other's probably have been, but went for YES), but thought id say NO and give my views, although i don't think there is anyone in Tiger's time who will really challenge.

i couldn't say for sure if anyone can go any better than Tiger in the future, i feel the bar will keep getting raised and more and more ''superstars'' will come at any one time and make it very difficult for one man to beat any sort of record that even Tiger on his own has already set.

Yes, I want to see the records get broken, that means I'm witnessing a history making event.

Ditto. That said, I'd also like to see someone emerge who can take him on week in and week out. Possibly I'll get both my wishes: Tiger surpasses Jack (whom I'm also thankful to have seen); then, at age 40 or so, a challenger finally emerges, as Tiger's game comes down out of the stratosphere.

Actually, I think the older Tiger gets, the better he'll get (like Vijay, except moreso). Tiger is finally starting to understand that he doesn't need to be all macho and outdrive everyone. We all know he's got one of the fastest clubhead speeds on Tour, but if he really wants to win then he should pretty much leave the driver in the bag most of the time. If he continues to do what he's done lately, I think his driving accuracy will get better and better. Jack was always a straight driver of the ball but not great with the short game, so he put a ton of pressure on his iron game and putting by the end of his career. He won 2 majors in a single year at age 40. I could see Tiger doing something similar but at a more sustained level (1 major a year average from age 38-45 for instance), unless he's already retired.
