Corey Paven - Did he abandon the driver for a while?

I heard a commentator make the remark, I think, that Corey had for a time in his career used irons (#2) and woods instead of a driver, in order to hit fairways.

Anybody know about that?

I do not know about this, but with his (lack of) length I doubt it.

Same as Straightshooter, above. Pavin has never had any trouble hitting fairways, instead he was standing too close to the ball when it stopped rolling. Is he getting close to the age to play on The Champions Tour?

The only thing I know about Pavin and driver is that he went to a 47" shaft to keep up with the longer hitters...
