VJ Threw His Hi-Bore Driver in the Drink!

I haven’t see VJ in any of the Cleveland ads lately. My buddy was telling me that he got mad and threw it in a water hazard. No more Hi-Bore for Mr. Singh??? Anyone heard anything?

Vijay has never liked the HiBore, probably because hes driving it worse than ever since he got that club. Nice to see him get rid of it, he will no doubt have the trusty Cleveland Launcher Comp in the bag next week.

Good for him...it is a huge part of the pro tour but I hate that the players play (or supposedly do) clubs that aren't their first choice...

Would you want to swing a club that looks like it was crushed by Big Foot? . . .

Lets face it, none of these modern-day 460cc monsters are nice-looking.

Tiger Woods has been throwing clubs and slamming divots since he came on tour, in addition to swearing and spitting on greens.

Vijay rarely misbehaves when compared to Tiger.

He started hitting it crooked when it went from 45 to 46 inches. Longer isn't better all the time.

Did VJ really do this (throw his HiBore in the drink)? He strikes me as pretty laid back and in control of his emotions. I have never seen him get angry, and I can't really picture him doing this.

I would believe he got rid of it but he didn't literally throw it away. He's one of the least likely players to do stuff like that. And given his agressive style of play he often messes up and gets in awkward situations. But for the most part takes it all in stride, justs keeps working away methodically without saying anything.

I saw him throw his ball in the water on #12 at Augusta (Amen Corner) it was because he three-putted the green for bogey. But even that was not a violent action, he just tossed it disgustedly over his shoulder using a wrist motion.

Recently his play has been weak and he's going down in the rankings, even Jim Furyk passed him

Didn't he throw his driver in the water (on 18 i think) at Doral or the Players a few years back?
