If I am home I will watch any golf competition whether it is the PGA Tour, LPGA, European, or national amateur. I love witnessing golfers compete at the highest levels.

I have a far lower interest in watching exhibition golf. I have watched my share of Champions (nee Senior) Tour golf in it's peak years when Trevino was dominating the money list, but to me it's like watching old times day at Yankee stadium. Once the novelty wears off seeing these guys wears off, you're wondering why the heck you are watching it. Ever since Lee and Jack went past 56-57 - usually the last year guys on that tour are still able to win with regularity - I lost interest. I've tried watching it, but it is über boring.

Hale was definitely boring to watch, but I loved it when Dr. Gil kicked his butt.

I just hope it stays around for at least twenty years!

In the absence of the real thing any golf on tv is good, especially when you get to watch the likes of Watson, Kite, Azinger.
Recently I watched legents of golf between Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus. I thouroughly enjoyed it, more so than your normal pga tournament.

Craig Stadler, 4 wins in 1982 including The Masters a total of 13 PGA wins including 2003 the BC open, Tom Kite, 19 tour wins including the US OPEN in 1992, 12 top 10 finishes in The Masters between 1975 and 1997, Hale Irwin, 20 PGA tour wins including 3 US OPEN's, Tom Watson, 39 wins on the PGA tour including The OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP in 75, 76, 80, 82 & 83...The Masters in 77 & 81, the US OPEN in 82...7 wins in 1980, tied for 48th in THE British open THIS YEAR and # 11 on the list of most tour wins.

Yeah, these guys couldn't win on the PGA tour...but consider this, most of them could take anyone here on and whup the pants off of them.

I marshalled at The Charles Schwab Cup Championship the last 2 years, last year I was on the 15th green all weekend. The #1 handicap hole on the course...only 4 or 5 bogies all weekend...only 3 or 4 birdies but these guys can get up and down as if their life depended on it! And before you say it...this is a TOUGH course.

So don't watch the 1st Tee Open this weekend and don't look for me on # 16, 17 or 18 at Pebble Beach as a marshal.

league did make note of the fact that there were exceptions. No need to quote only the part of his statement that you felt like arguing with Bompa1997.

I watched the events this year in Birmingham, AL and Destin, FL because they were on golf courses I have played and the familiarity with the holes made it fun to watch. In general, I don't watch much Champions Tour though...

I'll watch it if it's on, but that's not saying much in my case - I watch everything that's golf if it's on...

Champion's Tour Majors..........
Every other Champion's Tour event............
I was just kiddin'

As for the C-Tour, I agree with the above - although, what else is on TV at 7pm on a Sunday??? Well, besides Baseball Tonight...

I actually used to tune in to watch Dana play, but he hasn't been playing a lot lately.

I'm going to the event in Hickory ,and maybe Raleigh this year. I can't wait. There is an outside chance I might caddie.

Let's face it. If it were the only golf on, most of us would watch leage and Forged tee up... if for nothing more than laughs.
No offense to either of you, but... I couldn't resist.

Only if league leaves his blue shirt at home. The TV viewing audience couldn't deal with something that bright...you'd have to dim the color so much that you couldn't see Forged and his Tom Kite hat even take a swing!
