In my limited time here, I don't think I have seen a single thread on it. Does anyone care?
I enjoy it and watch every tournament if I can. This is probably partly becuase it includes a lot of the guys I started watching. I also enjoy the different swings. Don't get me wrong, I love the "modern" swing, but I also enjoy guys who can get it done with less than a perfect swing. Guys that if you saw there swings from two fairways over, you would know exactly who it is.
I still watch. I grew up on Jack, Arnie, Trevino, Player, and Rodriguez, and when they started the Seniors (Champions) Tour, I watched just to get to see the greats still playing competitively. Then, I watched to see Hale dominate. Now I watch just because it's good golf.
I watch LPGA events, Nationwide Tour events, European Tour events, and amateur events as well. Good golf is good golf, no matter who's playing.
Yeh, good value is the Senior Tour . I can relate to their games and I am for ever amazed at the scoring capabilities of the players. All I can say is they must set up the courses to promote low scores and I have noticed of recent that the pin placement in the 'Majors' have not been over difficult. Still to me it makes great viewing on cable and I will continue to support the tour.
Watch on TV? Heck, I have been to the last 2 Schwab Cup Championships and will be at Pebble Beach next weekend for the Walmart First tee open. I volunteer for these events, there is no better seat than inside the ropes and the players are very courteous. I have a season pass to the First Tee open that I have not yet given away...I may find somebody today but if any one is interested drop me a note.
I'd rather watch grass grow or paint dry. The "Champions" just don't do it for me. It was much different when Trevino, Palmer, Nicklaus, Player were there every week. Now, it's a bunch of PGA Tour "B" players it seems. JMO, Simp

I make no special efforts to watch it but I catch an hour of it now and then. And the reason I like it is most definitely the funky swings. Allen Doyle and Dana Quigley are my 'favorites'. If anyone knows where I can find a swing-sequence for these players, let me know.
i get kinda bored, i hate seeing them hit utility clubs every time and the scores dont get that exciting, ill watch the majors though, jeld wen isnt bad
Rarely will I watch a full televised segment, but catch a few holes here and there. About like watching non-major LPGA events. I do like watching the old guys around the green. I'd take putting tips from Loren Roberts any day, and Tom Kite can still work those wedges. In fact, from about 200 yards in, the seniors probably play as well as the younger PGA guys.
I'll watch just about any golf on TV, but my interest in the Champions Tour has dropped quite a bit the past couple of years. It's behind The PGA & LPGA events and even the Euro events, but I never know when I'm going to run into one of them.
I watch and also attend the Champions Tour each May when it comes to Birmingham, Al. I guess being in the age group of some of these guys plus growing up watching them on TV adds a little interest.
I will watch the Sr. US Open if there is a log jam at the top on the final day but for what ever reason, I don't really care about that tour since Nicklaus and Trevino stopped winning/playing.
I tried to watch some of the Gel Wend(?) today on the golf channel. Not only is the Golf Channel's telecast very boring, I noticed the leader playing, and in the background, there was one lonely person watching along the ropes. The place looked like a ghost town.

Given the limited time I have to watch golf versus everything else I like to do and need to do with the rest of life, I just don't watch much of the Seniors Tour. In terms of the level of golf played if I'm going to watch some golf why not watch the best guys in the business on the PGA Tour?
