This morning when I saw Tiger's picture on the front page of the sports section in my local paper and I looked at his hat and saw the SQ on it...and I thought to myself...hmm..I wouldnt think Tiger would be a great person to be advertising Nike's new supreme driver considering he hits it about once a week, which not so stellar results. Anyone who knows even a little about Tiger would know he doesnt hit his driver these days. Wouldnt you want someone who actually hits your driver and hits it well to be advertising it? I just thought it was a funny observation.

He hit it 18 times in the USPGA. Only reason he didn't was that it would have been through all the doglegs there.
Consider also that he said he didn't hit it at the Open more than once because he hit it too long. I'd say that was a pretty solid sales point to be honest.
He didn't drive it great at the Bridgestone, but then again, over the weekend, he didn't do anything else desperately well. Buick he drove it solid, PGA he drove it solid.
Yeah...even if he's not driving well, I'm sure Nike's sales are way up thanks to him. He probably helps sell more SQ's driving the way he's doing than other tour players that drive well everytime.
someone wrote an article on how Nike Golf became from like a zero sales to billions mainly due to Tiger... kind of justifies the 40million he's paid a year.
The thing is that even if he isnt using the SQ much, or even well, he still uses Nike iron, ball, clothing, etc......and as was stated earlier, any Tiger advertising is good advertising.
Did anyone notice that all three players in the final group Sunday were hitting Nike SQs.
Yeah, I noticed that also. I also noticed the logos on Cinks hat were opposite of Tigers, the One on the left and SQ on the right as opposed to Tigers Sq being on the left and One on the right, just wandered if there were any significance to this at all? Caseys matched Cinks btw.
Well Tiger will mean sales to the casual golfer, and those people don't know how much he hits it. Someone off the street would say well Tiger likes this one so I should too. Also it is not true that he doens't hit SQ all of his woods are SQ as well. So really he is using them most of the time.
I am surprised that Nike does not market a SQ with the same bimatrix shaft Tiger uses. Every 30 capper in the world would be buying it because it looks exactly like Tigers.
