Davis Love III, will he win another major?

it seems to me that Davis Love III can not seem to put a complete tournament together. he has played some great rounds which have been very entertaining to watch. but on the other side he seems to blow up and shoot one poor round in most tournaments. he played well this last weekend but couldn't seem to take advantage of tigers saturday struggles. I think he is very skilled and would like to see him to win another major, but can he?

DLIII has to be one of the biggest chokers in the history of the PGA. Will he ever put together a good final round when he's in contention? Remember when he won his major, and the announcers were making it sound like he got help from the great beyond, and the rainbow, and everything, well now i believe it, it would take some unearthly power to get that choker to win a major.Talk about squandered talent. Thank God he and his losing Ryder Cup record didn't make the team

Davis has not had a good year by his own standards, and you can make a strong case he has been rather content with his achievements. He is not a win at all costs kind of guy. He doesn't have that kind of temperment.

Choker seems to be more of a stretch, though. I seem to recall a final round 64 at the Players that Woods thought was one of the best rounds he had ever witnessed. Underachiever, perhaps, but more than anything I think he is merely the epitome of a successful golfer who became satisfied.

When you are content and satisfied, money or titles seem less important. I'm not saying he doesn't try his best, but he's not consumed by a burning passion to be the best. He's just a normal millionaire who decided family and friends are what matter the most to him.

A disappointing athlete to root for, but hardly the worst choices he could have made.

He seems to play well to get into contention and then folds. Would be nice to see him win at Augusta.

He's living testament to the quote "I could have won more tournaments but I wouldn't have as many friends"

Ouch!

But I agree that he won't win another major. Maybe even another tournament.

DLIII is very skilled, but i do agree that he does not look "HUNGRY" to win. however he is so skilled that i think he can still win again. but maybe another major is to much to ask.

He's younger than Vijay, and I think Vijay is capable of winning another major. DLIII will need to get 100% healthy, which is asking a lot, and have a good putting tournament. I'd like to see him at least challenge at the Masters again.

I wouldn't put Vijay and Love in the same category.

For what reason? Just a few years ago, both had what would probably be considered career years for them, with the exception of the year(s) they won majors, to that point. The only difference is that you can't question Vijay's desire or work ethic, whereas Davis has clearly underachieved with respect to his talent (although in fairness, he's had to deal with injuries far more than Vijay).

That is exactly why I wouldn't put them in the same sentence. That and their records.
