Not each year, but a specific year of a particular tournament.
86 Master's- enough said
96 Master's- Faldo's (my favorite) great last round to overtake Norman.
92 Grand Slam Of Golf- Faldo, Price, Couples, and Kite. Hard to imagine four better representatives of that era.
95 Ryder Cup- Faldo sealing the deal
91 British Open- One of the first tournaments I watched. Had a copy and watched it over and over.
92 British Open- Faldo and two of my other favorites (John Cook and Steve Pate) battling it out.
86 Masters - all time favorite.
92 Masters - Freddie's my favorite golfer.
2005 - Presidents Cup - So many clutch shots and putts by the Americans. Captains Nicklaus and Player: Consumate class acts and it was close.
There are so many though, it's tough to remember them all.
Sanders misses two foot putt that would have won it, Jack beats Doug in 18 hole playoff
1971 US Open at Merion
Trevino pulls out a rubber snake on the first hole, beats Nicklaus in playoff
1971 Open at Royal Birkdale
Tevino holds off Mr. Lu from Taiwan to win his third national open in a row (won the Canadian in between)
1972 US Open at PBGL
Jack hits the pin at No. 17 (71st hole) with a 2 iron under brutal conditions
1973 US Open at Oakmont
Overnight rains lead to Miller's final round 63
1975 Masters
Nicklaus holes long putt at No. 16 with Miller and Weiskopf (joint runners up) watching from the tee
1986 Masters
4 irons - Jack to the 15th leading to his eagle, Seve's at the same which duck hooked into the pond producing the oddest cheer/groan ever heard, and Norman going for his fifth straight birdie at 18 airmails it into the grandstand for a bogey, finishes one back tied with Kite
1997 Masters
What other major ever had all the non-golfers talking about it at work the next day? One for the ages
The 1988 Bi-Centennial Classic at Royal Melbourne had arguably the greatest field ever outside of the Major championships. It was one magnificent event won by Rodger Davis of Australia and was played on the best course in the country. In the States the 1986 US Masters was my favorite and across the Atlantic Greg Normans two Open wins are inseparable.
2000 PGA Championship - Great pairing of Woods and Nicklaus on Friday when Jack stuffed a sand wedge on 18. Also a great dual against Bob May. Gotta love that putt on the first playoff hole where Tiger chased after it and pointed at it as the ball dropped into the hole.
2005 Masters - Great dual with Dimarco and of course, that infamous chip shot was one for the ages.
I'm a relative newcomer to watching the game on TV (compared to others here, anyway...first major I watched was the '95 US Open), and as a big Tiger fan, I could go with plenty of his wins, but a few others stick out.
1999 US Open-The cagey vet, Payne Stewart, holds off the new guard (Phil, Tiger, Duval and Singh all had a shot during the final round) to win his second US Open...capped by the dramatic putt on 18. All on the finest of US Open venues (IMO), Pinehurst No. 2.
1999 Ryder Cup-Say what you will about the celebration on the 17th green, but the rest of that day was riveting television...if you were rooting for the Americans, I suppose.
2004 Masters-A stirring back nine duel between two great players, resulting in Phil Mickelson edging Ernie Els for his first major victory.
