Europe - Ryder Cup

Great start for our team.
Present captain fighting with last captain.
Last time vice-captain fighting with present captain.
I bet Tom lehman is laughing his head off.

I was thinking exactly the same thing today loftboy! All's not quite as rosy as we thought it was in the Europe camp

I would n't worry, there is not fighting within the twelve players and the captain. Bjorn has made an idiot of himself and this will unite the players with the captain. The media will become the commom enemy as they try to create shock horror stories where they do not exist.

Bjorn has thought better of it and apologised - he has also been fined.

While his comments were unwise, I think he was echoing some widely held concerns about Woosnam, who so far has been very unimpressive and comes across as defensive and indecisive. In this case, I think if Europe wins it will be despite the captain rather than because of him; definite advantage to the US in that regard.

However I wouldn't get too excited about "dissent" in the European camp; the players are fine and up for it.

I think the same fears about Woosnam were expressed about Langer before the last Ryder Cup. His quiet manner was unfavourably compared to the approach taken by AHl Sutton.
