I really think it's time she start and/or stick to playing to a level of competition closer to her ability. The LPGA should be all means give her full-time status on the LPGA Tour, where she has clearly shown she can compete, but she should no longer be competing in men's events (unless she qualifies for them).
I just hope there isn't a serious backlash against this girl for this, because it's other people looking out for their (financial) interest and not hers that put her in this position.
"I didn't even know which sport I was playing out there," she said.
"My bunker play was better and I putted better. But I wish I had a
little more feel for the game before I came here. It was not my day."

Hopefully this will open up her eyes. But she is still playing the 84 Lumber next week as or right now. This weekends results can't be good for that and maybe this will be her last foray into the PGA events.

Just to bring Bashers up to date, she has stated that her poor performance just makes her more determined, and it is full steam ahead as regards mens events.
242 yard driving distance today, take that and hitting only 3 fairways isn't going to cut it on any tour. Good sand saves today 2/2.
I thought she was suppose to average like 290 or something off the tee? Or at least that is what everyone likes to say when they talk about her...maybe she does with an average of 50 yards of roll on the LPGA courses?
I can't tell you how sick and tired..and did I mention sick? Of hearing about Wie. It's the same old song and dance in every mens tournament she enters. I have no doubts that this girl will eventually be able to kick every womans butt on the LPGA and eventually be able to play with the men, becuase she's still 16, but my gosh, she can't do it now, so she needs to mature against some competition on her own level. You can't play with the women shooting high 70's, let alone the men.

"Bashers"? Reality check, Rodney: the girl came in dead last. All we're saying is that she doesn't belong in men's events, as clearly evidenced by her play in them.
She's out of her league by about a marathon of miles. That's obvious to everyone now.

Since she turned 14, she has played 8 mens events, and has performed very well on the whole. Far better than many other prodigies did at older ages on the pga tour.
Woods first 5 pga events versus Wie's first 5 pga events. Also, Tiger averaged over 2 years older in each event:
Event 1: Woods mc by 6. Wie mc by 1.
Event 2: Woods mc by 7. Wie mc by 7.
Event 3: Woods mc by 5. Wie mc by 2.
Event 4: Woods mc by 8. Wie mc by 3.
Event 5: Woods mc by 10. Wie wd.
Sorry, but your analsysis is about as reliable as usual. Unless of course you are claiming that Tiger didn't belong on the pga tour.
And before you spout off about amateur titles, it's not about amateur titles, it's about belonging on the pga tour, as you put it.
One of the strong arguments for Wie playing against the men has always been that she's gaining valuable experience and learning. I'll buy that.
My question is, isn't that what the minor tours are for? Who else has the luxury of seemingly unlimited sponsorships to PGA Tour events to use as a stage for gaining experience?
That's why God created the mini-tours and the Nationwide Tour.

As does yours. While Michelle has been busy missing cuts, Tiger was busy winning USGA championships over and over and over and over and over and over again. 6 in a row. Did he belong on the PGA Tour at 16? No. Nobody does. Once he won everything he could win at the level he was playing at, he stepped up to the next level.
Dead last, Rodney. Her performance speaks for itself - she doesn't belong.

Anyone who can pull in the crowds and play good golf. If they were famous, and in 5 pga events, got within 3 strokes of the cut on 3 occasions, they would get more sponsors exemptions.

How many of those pga events did Tiger get invited to as opposed to earned the right to play? How many of those pga events did Wie get invited to as opposed to earning the right to play? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
